Quick Weight Loss – To Do List
With all the different diet programs around today it’s hard to choose one. They all have their pros and cons. If you want quick weight loss there are some easy tips you can start using right now to speed things up.
1. Exercise; this is why so many people fail at weight loss. They just can’t stay motivated to work out and if you are really going to be healthy you have to keep your body moving. It can also be a challenge just to find the time. But there is hope, find an exercise that you enjoy doing. You don’t have to just stick with the treadmill. Instead try belly dancing, tennis, swimming, horse back riding, etc.
High-intensity interval training (HIIT) maybe can answer this problem; it is a form of cardio which design to improve performance and burning fat with short training session. The basic idea of High-intensity interval training is coupling high-intensity cardio with lower intensity to make you perform the same amount of total work that you would perform in a longer session cardio, but in shorter period. For example: if you are walking as your exercise, try walk for 2 minutes, jog for 1 minute, and walk again for 2 minutes. Or if you jog, try your usual jog for 1 minute, sprint for 30 seconds, and walk again for 1 minute. Do this and keep the constant changing for about 15 minutes.
The reason this technique works so well is that your body adapts. If you usually walk for 30 minutes, after a while your body will get used to that and you won’t burn as many calories. Then the only way to keep burning at a high level is to increase the amount of time you exercise. By using the HIIT method you keep your body ‘on it’s toes’; since the intensity is always changing, your body will be burning a consistently higher number of calories.
2. Trick Your Crave for Unhealthy Food; Watch what you eat, count your calories, eat in more frequent smaller portion, and stop consume unhealthy snack are common advices when you are on a diet and aim for healthier lifestyle. But even though you know that it is bad, sometimes you are bound to eat junk food because you are eating out with a friend, eat too much in a party, or grab a package of unhealthy snack just because you really want it. Some diet program even allowed cheat day which allow you to eat whatever you want. Off course the creator has his own consideration when including cheat day in his diet program and it will still work for most people, but surely we can expect faster result if we minimize the damage from that cheat day to our diet.
The key is to make your stomach feel full before you consume anything that you know is bad for your body. Drink lots of water before open your snack package and eat few handfuls of peanuts before eating in a fast food restaurant can make your stomach full quickly, which will make you eat less of the unhealthy foods.
3. Lifestyle; losing weight is not that hard. If you really want it fast, you can always try the Master Cleanse which includes fasting and detoxification program. It requires strong discipline and willpower but you will lose weight quick enough. But it is better if you also think about the long term solution. Many diet programs can teach you about that, but the basics are the same: you have to change your lifestyle to a healthier one!
Even though the food tricks is good and can be used to minimizing the unhealthy food consumption, sooner or later you have to stop it, once and for all, never touch it again. This is your ultimate goal; this is what you want to be in the future. Try to make it routine for a period of time, like a 2 weeks or a month, if you made it appreciate your own effort. Don’t ever relapse, look for the new healthier you, and be proud of your own achievement.
